This week’s edition of What’s Featured at Scion features three of our favorite modified cars from the 2007, 2008, and 2009 Scion Tuner Challenge out on display. Since we’re just starting to gear up for this year’s Scion Tuner Challenge, which will feature the new 2014 Scion tC, we thought this was an appropriate time to bring a few builds from previous years out of storage.

John Pangilinan Scion tC

The blue Scion tC, dubbed the Scion tC GT, was designed by John Pangilinan for the 2008 Tuner Challenge at the SEMA Show. The car comes compete with a custom designed wide body kit, as well as a host of under the hood modifications to the tC’s stock 2AZ engine. A complete audio/visual overhaul and a unique center exhaust round out the list of modifications made to the tC.

Team Hybrid Scion xD – James Lin

Team Hybrid’s Scion xD was built for the 2007 Scion Tuner Challenge, and marked the arrival of the then-new Scion xD. Colored a distinctive Kandy Apple Green, builder James Lin sought a look that was clean, and sleek, keeping the body lines as close to stock as possible. The intercooler peeking through the car’s lower grille also hinted at something much more sinister under the hood.

Eneri Abillar Scion xB

Finally, Eneri Abillar’s Scion xB from the 2009 Scion Tuner Challenge featured a custom fabricated wide body kit and a redesigned front grille. Wood flooring lines the inside of the car, as does a flatscreen TV and an upgraded sound system. Our friends at GReddy supplied the car’s turbocharger, while TRD strut bars help strengthen the car’s chassis.
